Prestigious Visitors, Ivory Busts and Increased Flying Time in August Report

In August, Mara Elephant Project had a first of its kind incident on Lake Victoria. Our intelligence team led us to Busia near Uganda where we were tracking 15 pieces of ivory coming out of Tanzania. Collaring for Conflict Mitigation

When collaring, Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and Mara Elephant Project focus on candidates that will gather useful spatial data meaning elephants in border areas, areas of conflict or areas outside of conservancies or national reserves.
