On January 7 Mara Elephant Project had a very special visitor, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Purushottampriyadasji Maharaj, the spiritual leader of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, a worldwide center for spiritual, cultural and social welfare.
His Divine Holiness was in town to visit the sects headquarters in Kenya and as part of his trip visited the Mara River Safari Lodge in Maasai Mara. During his time in the Mara, MEP was asked to visit him and he was so impressed with MEP’s conservation work he not only donated $1,000 to MEP, but also blessed the Karen Blixen Camp Ree Park Safari helicopter and CEO Marc Goss.
